As of Sunday, 22 March, the Dotcom Distribution facility remains operational, and is set to open on 23 March from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Minimizing the risk of exposure within our facility remains a top priority of Dotcom and the governor of NJ. Office personnel are now urged to work from home to reduce exposure. To maintain social distancing best practices, and to accommodate associates calling out of work and caring for loved ones at home, warehouse crews this week will be lighter.
To further reduce the risk of exposure to mission critical warehouse associates, additional cleaning crews are being shifted to the warehouse full-time to disinfect equipment and workstations before, during, and after every shift.
Dotcom’s Operations team will move to a first in, first out (FIFO) method of processing orders starting Monday, 23 March. By the afternoon we will have a better understanding of actual client volumes and our anticipated ship plan. Once we have a clearer picture, Dotcom’s program management team will update you with adjustments if the shipping plan for your business is different than what has already been presented. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to reach out to your program manager directly.
As always, we will provide you with updates as they become available during this fluid period.
Is your volume different than originally forecasted? If so, please re-forecast and send the update to your Program Manager. We’re doing what we can to limit potential exposure of the virus among our employees and associates. Your updated forecasts help us manage the number of people that are in the facility.
